A new report indicates that 75% of the money spent on iOS App Store software went toward video game sales.
June 14, 2018
As Kevin Tucker, a long-time gamer and writer, explains this figure is remarkable for various reasons: not only do video games make up the vast majority of mobile software sales, they manage to do so while only accounting for 31% of all mobile software downloads since 2010.
Thus, it is no secret that the mobile software market continues to rise! 77 percent of the 4.5 million apps released to the App Store in 2017 were games, and those titles altogether managed to move almost $32 billion in total sales worldwide.
